Condition number four is to confess (Matt. 10:32, Rom. 10:9-10, Acts 8:37). Condition number five is to be baptized (Acts 2:38, Mk. 16:16, Acts 22:16, 1 Pet. 3:21, Gal. 3:27). Condition number six is to live faithful until death (Rev. 2:10, 2 Tim. 4:6-8). These are God’s conditions, not mine or yours or those of any human man, they are conditions set by God. Unless these conditions are followed, there will be no trip to heaven at all. I suppose that a church that offers a free trip to heaven will be a popular church but that way will be in opposition to God’s way.
No where in God’s word can you find a promise that our journey to heaven will be easy and free. The promise is that if we obey him, it will be a safe one. Make no mistake, there is a cost involved in traveling the road to heaven. To begin with, in order to walk on the road to heaven, you must have the desire to do so more than you want anything else. Getting to heaven is going to cost a total commitment to our Lord (Rom. 12:1).
