For only the second time in my life, I purchased a brand-new car last year. So

That recall was due to an engineering flaw on the manufacturer’s end. Most of
the cars I saw in the shop this morning, however, were there for routine
maintenance or repairs made necessary by driver’s neglect or error.

I wasn’t angry that my car had been recalled. I was glad the problem could be
resolved before an accident ensued. Now I can travel safely, with greater peace
of mind.
