With our human eyes we are able to see a lot of things yet even with the best of eyesight much is hidden from our view. Not so with our God. He sees everything even those thoughts, words or deeds that we think to be secret. There is absolutely nothing that can be hidden from Him Psalms 139:7-12, Psalms 94:11, Psalms 33:13-15). After sinning, Adam and Eve thought they could hide themselves and conceal their sin but they forgot about the all seeing eye (Gen. 3:1-10). Cain thought no one saw or knew what he did to his brother–he too forgot about the all seeing eye (Gen. 4:1-16). In the days of Noah, an entire world of people forgot that there was an all seeing eye that not only knew what they were doing and saying but what they were thinking in their heart as well (Gen. 6:1-7, 11-13). Ananias and Sapphira thought they could lie to Peter but they forgot about the all seeing eye (Acts 5:1-11). There is another side to this in that God also sees the good in men. He saw the good in Noah (Gen. 6:8). He saw the good in Joseph and blessed him immeasurably (Gen. chapters 39-50). He saw the good in Stephen (Acts 6:5–7:60), the Eunach (Acts 8) and Cornelius (Acts 10)
What about you and I? What does that all seeing eye observe as we go about our daily lives? Just remember, we can hide nothing from that all seeing eye of God. He sees and knows our deeds, words and thoughts. Never forget for a moment that the all seeing eye of God knows if ours is but a profession of faith in Him or if it is one of a sincere heart, loving Him with our entire being (Mark 12:30, Matt. 6:33, 1 Cor. 15:58, 2 Cor. 8:5, Rom. 12:1-2). Know this, His eye of love, mercy and grace is upon all who are willing to hear and obey Him (Matt. 11:28-30).
